A striking window frame treatment in the living room strengthens the architectural character of the room, and at the same time stretches to wall length the center window of the room. Wormy chestnut frame is compatible with the French Provincial furniture, and at the same time flavors it with a strong contemporary note. The geometrically patterned area carpet also provides a fresh and vibrant accent.
A vinyl-asbestos tile, paved into a brick-like floor, runs throughout the first level, on which is situated entry hall, kitchen, dining room and family room. The only exception is the family room, which is defined by a distinctive hexogonal tile motif.
