My collected seed heads await sowing in spring
Fuchsias radiate colour and sparrows continue to feast on apples, discarding the husks over the lawn. However, the golden quince are untouched.
On my Victoria plum’s skeleton framework I discovered its one and only fruit. I hope next year is better for plums and pears.
Whippy stems of climbing roses continue tobe tied in, I’ve
taken loads of hardwood cuttings, and I’m still collecting and destroying rose foliage to stop the spread of black spot. My Iceberg and Madame Alfred Carriere roses are Christmas crackers together with the clematis seed heads which look like frothy baubles.
